It is a smooth with 8 A-RB bearings and 1 roller clutch bearing. Retrieve ratio is to 3.9:1 to boost retrieve rate to approximately 89cm per crank.
The spool lip tape allows for almost free friction free release of line. The reel is constructed from aluminium which goes through an alumite process to improve corrosion resistance even further.
The 19kg twin drag system allows for a quick adjustment to reach your max preset drag during competition casting; but you can also use the twin drag feature like a baitrunner function. Oscillation rate is also enhanced to improve line lay to allow for further casts, while the 1 piece seamless bail ensures that line does not have any opportunity to snag on the bail during casting. the new PA Spin Power is now available in 3,5 & 8 sizes and is the ultimate reel to use for competition style tournament casting or for targeting game fishes
